Hughes Aircraft Corporation was merged with Raytheon Corporation in December, 1997.

Raytheon, formerly Hughes Aircraft Company, has been using the services of Products 2 Market and its predecessor company since 1990. Products 2 Market began by assisting with the strategy and formation of a business unit to enter the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market.

  • Cross Israel Highway Toll Road

The electronic toll and traffic management system for this new road will be supplied by Raytheon to Derech Eretz, the winning consortium. The consortium finances, designs, builds and operates the project. The toll road is then transferred to the state of Israel at the end of 30 years of operation. The project is valued at over US$ 1.3 billion.

  • Commercial Vehicle Wireless Communications

  • h407 ETR.gif (40988 bytes) Raytheon's cashless toll road in Toronto Canada. This is the world's first toll road that has no toll takers or automatic cash machines. All tolls are collected electronically with either transponders or by digital imaging of the license plate.

    Product Awards

    The American Public Works Association awarded its 1997 Transportation Project of the Year Award to Canadian Highways and OTCC for the development of 407 ETR. APWA has 25,000 members throughout North America and the Project of the Year Award carries great prestige throughout the industry.

    407 ETR is selected as one of ten projects to receive an award from Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine and the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada.
